Added new participant attribute 'most_recent_induction_period_end_date'

New feature Production release Sandbox release

We’ve added a new attribute to the enrolments section of GET participant responses.

What’s changed

A new attribute most_recent_induction_period_end_date has been added to the enrolments section of GET participant responses.

For ECTs the date will be:

  • the most recent ended induction period as reported by the ECT’s appropriate body
  • null if the ECT has not yet started or is currently serving induction

If the ECT is no longer serving induction, the attribute value will be a date.

For mentors the field will always be null.

Why we’ve made this change

This attribute makes the ECT’s induction status clearer, specifically whether they’ve stopped serving induction without completing it.

What you need to do

No action is needed. However, lead providers can use this new attribute to:

  • identify ECTs whose inductions have ended unexpectedly
  • follow up with delivery partners and schools to check, for example, if ECTs will continue induction or should be withdrawn from training
